1. Digital Surfboard Design™ (DSD™)

Exact copies of "Magic Boards" are customized precisely to your needs.

• "It's magic!"
  It's rare, but sometimes it happens: A shape is being judged as "magic" and therefore "absolutely perfect" by a surfpro. We digitalize such shapes (with acceptance of surfpro/shaper), reproduce and rescale them for other BUFO test riders. If those surfers come to the same conclusions ("it's magic!"), the data of this shape is saved and becomes the 'master' for future production.
• Scanning
  We scan the magic board's shape and capture every detail 100% (accuracy: less than 0,04 inch - with over 4 million measuring points). Even used or damaged boards can be scanned and reproduced in their original state. Dings and cracks are recognized and digitally eliminated.
• Master
  The master is made according to the scanned data. This data is then customized to every surfer's requirements.
• Formula
  A board originally shaped and finetuned for a 5''9' tall guy can be adapted and reproduced to any other surfer with the special BUFO Formula. Relevant for this scale up/down is the surfer's height, shoesize, weight and skill.
• Shaping
  Now the actual production process starts. The special Hydroflex Blank is shaped on a special milling machine (accuracy: less than 0,04 inch). No touching-up by hand is necessary.

2. Resin System

• is flexible and guarantees ideal performance of the surfboard during moves and maneuvers.
• is very strong and prevents dings, cracks and even hairline cracks.
• does not contain toxic dissolvers and behaves environment-friendly.
• does not release toxic materials.

3. Blanks

• Hydroflex Blanks are more durable, lighter, flexible and more environment-friendly than regular blanks.
• When damaged, no water is absorbed by the water-repellent blanks. Repairing can be done easy and instantly.
• The blanks are foamed with oxygen and do not contain greenhouse gases. No carcinogenic materials are used.

4. Construction

Mother nature served as a model for the bionic construction of Hydroflex Boards. Stability and flexibility are mainly regulated by these three configurations:

• Bio Processors?
  Stabilize the shell of a board without stiffening it. The surfer's impulses are perfectly translated onto the board - the surfboard responds instantly and precisely. In special sections the board can be made more flexible or stiffer. 
• Micro Roots?
  The fibre-glass is deep-rooted inside the foam/blank. Delamination is prevented even under high pressure. Enrooting-effect. Pics of the roots can be seen here.
  
• Micro Processors?
  The wavy structure of the micro processors increases the surface of the board and enables optimal energy distribution within the construction.
